DIFFERENCES IN THE PARAMETERS OF CREATIVITY AND AGGRESSION WITH DIFFERENT ACADEMIC ACADEMIC ACHIEVEMENTS IN HUMANITIES AND MATHEMATICAL DISCIPLINES
Abstract
The purpose of our work is to study the differences between creativity and aggressiveness in young men in the context of their academic performance in mathematics and humanities. The study involved 75 students of the Perm College of Entrepreneurship and Service (PCES). To assess academic performance, the average academic performance in the humanities and mathematics disciplines per semester was calculated. Creativity was measured using the curly battery of E.P. Torrance "Finish the Drawing" in the adaptation of I.S. Averina and E.I. Shcheblanova [18]. To study aggressiveness, the Bass-Darki aggressiveness questionnaire was used in the adaptation of G.A. Zuckerman. According to the results of the application of the Mann Whitney U-criterion, it was found that young men with different academic performance in the humanities and mathematical disciplines differed from each other in all parameters of aggressiveness (physical aggression, indirect aggression, irritability, negativism, resentment, suspicion, verbal aggression, guilt) and in almost all dimensions of creativity (fluency, flexibility, originality, sophistication). Our results can be correlated with the data obtained as E.E. Rogova and L.A. Ibakhadzhieva [15] and with the data of T.V. Shelkunova and T.Yu. Artyukhova [16].
